I Thought, Why Not!

I thought, I thought why I should not;

Sleep under my cot,

I tried, I tried but only to race,

When spiders and catterpillers slide to my side,

back to the top with sweat glistening on my face.

I thought, I thought why I should not;

Have burgers for breakfast,

Lunch and supper,

I tried I tried but only to find,

The tummy ache made me suffer.

I thought, I thought why I should not;

Take my brother’s bike out,

I tried, I tried but only to slide,

Into the big dirty gutter,

With one huge splutter.

I thought, I thought why I should not;

Grow my hair nice and long,

I tried, I tried but to no avail,

Often making contact with scalp and nail,

ending up with a mission fail.
